WHAT TO EXPECT
All DoubuTroubu commissions undergo a variation of the same workflow. We have laid out a brief explanation of our process in order to give our clients an idea of what to expect when commissioning our services.

| - FOR REFERENCE SHEETS, IKKUYO AND MAEMI WILL WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE THE LAYOUT BEFORE DELIVERING THE PRODUCT TO THE CLIENT. |
| - FOR MODEL ILLUSTRATIONS, IKKUYO WILL THEN BEGIN SHADING THE DESIGN. MAEMI WILL ASSIST IN COLORING AS NEEDED. |
| - ONCE THE FINISHED ILLUSTRATION HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE CLIENT, IKKUYO WILL CUT THE MODEL UNDER MAEMI'S DIRECTION. |
| - FOR RIGGING SERVICES, ONCE THE MODEL HAS BEEN FULLY CUT, MAEMI WILL RIG THE MODEL IN LIVE2D. ONCE THE MODEL HAS RECEIVED ITS FINAL APPROVAL FROM THE CLIENT, THE CLIENT WILL RECEIVE THE FILES PREPARED FOR THE FACE-TRACKING PROGRAM. |

COMMISSION FORM
To commission us for a character design/model, shoot us a DM on twitter with a filled-out form if you are interested.To apply, please create a copy of our commission form (file > make copy) and fill out all applicable areas for your commission (delete the sections that do not apply to you). Each form counts for one character. If you wish to commission us for multiple characters, then a separate form for them must also be submitted.Once the form is complete, please send an email or DM on Twitter. We generally prioritize in-house requests, meaning DoubuTroubu will be fully responsible for your art + rigging needs.Clients will receive reply through either email or DM to discuss the final quote of their commission request. Once payment has been established, a PayPal invoice will be sent, and work shall begin after we receive at least half of the payment.
TERMS OF SERVICE
Purchasing our services binds you to these terms and conditions.Please remember that if the design was created by an outside artist then the TOS of the artist in question should be followed as well.
GENERAL
Commissions are not first come first serve. We select designs and ideas that we feel fit our art style or appeal to our interests.
We reserve the right to decline a commission at our own discretion. Questions regarding why a request was declined will be ignored.
Designs must have a clean and colored reference. We will not accept written or uncolored references. Any unfinished references that require editing will incur a fee (i.e. filling in color, adding accessories, etc).
PAYMENT
All payments will be conducted through PayPal invoice. All prices listed are in USD.
Individuals using PayPal to purchase items within our community are assumed to be 18 years of age or older.
Clients may choose to pay in full or with a payment plan. Services do not begin until payment has been received as discussed.
Clients who opt to pay half up front will not receive the unwatermarked, full resolution files until the remaining payment is received.
We maintain the right to a resale of our work under certain conditions including chargebacks or a cancellation of services in violation with our TOS. We also maintain the right to edit the design and model to increase marketabilty. These rules include designs that are not created by DoubuTroubu. Resales are done in order to recuperate loss of time and cost.
Clients whom participate in chargebacks or other malicious behavior will be blacklisted from any and all future services.
REVISIONS AND CORRESPONDENSE
Clients are encouraged to communicate and provide us with feedback so that we may produce the best possible product.
If commissioning a custom design, at any time during the sketch phase, the client may request edits without charge.
Revisions requested after the sketch phase (i.e. during lining, color, etc) will incur a fee. The complexity of the edit requested will determine the price of the revision.
CREDIT, OWNERSHIP, AND COMMERCIAL USE
Clients are expected to credit us, DoubuTroubu in their social media biographies/descriptions regardless of whether one person worked on your commission or not.
The purchase of a commission entitles the client to use the model for simple commercial purposes such as streaming and social media graphics.
If our services were responsible for the illustration/design of the model, the client may NOT use the Live2D illustration nor the design for merchandise. An additional premium commercial-use fee will be charged in order to obtain this right.
Clients DO NOT receive the editable Live2D file, only the files which have been prepared for the face tracking program (VTube Studio). Original PSD and editable Live2d files may be requested at an additional cost.
We maintain the right to use any and all work for portfolio and promotion. If the client would like to keep their commission private (i.e. request that the we do not stream or post their process), this will incur an additional fee to recuperate the marketing loss.
The use of any and all of our works in blockchain-related technology, such as NFTs and/or any form of cryptocurrency, or artificial learning programs, such as those used to create computer generated works, is strictly prohibited.
REFUND
Refunds will NOT be issued for commissions that have already been started.
A full refund may be requested if work has not yet begun on a commission. Otherwise, a partial refund may be discussed for the work not yet completed.
If, after 3 months, your commission has not been completed and no correspondence has occurred, the client may request a refund, after which details will be discussed.
The cancellation of a commission during the initial sketch phase will incur a fee. This fee is dependent on the type of service paid for and will be discussed with the client.
A partial refund may be issued if at any point your commission is unable to be completed. In the unlikely case we are unable to fulfil a commission, we will contact the client for refund details.
DELIVERY
Expected wait time is between 4 weeks to 3 months after payment has been received.
Wait times may be longer or shorter depending on the type of commission requested. The more complicated the commission type, the longer it will take to finish.
Delivery time for commissions will also vary based on queue length.

When commissioning a custom character, being aware of the artists' strengths and weaknesses, as well as their likes and dislikes in designs, is important in order to ascertain whether the services they provide will satisfy the wants and expectations of the client. The simple category includes basic designs which are not very difficult to conceptualize or draw.
This category can include simple clothing and accessories with a few minor details.

DESIGN + REFERENCE SHEET
A colored reference to include with your character design. Reference sheets will show your character from both a front and back view along with important close-up details broken down for future use.

WHAT WE NEED
When commissioning a custom character design, the client is expected to have supplemental material to provide to the artists in order to assist in the design process. The artists will be unable to design a character to the client's expectation if they do not have a clear idea or starting point for what they want.If the references provided do not match with the description of what the client wants, we will need to clarify details with the client and make sure they align with our capabilities before proceeding with the commission process.

STYLES
With DoubuTroubu, we have a selection of styles for our clients to choose from that allows them to pick something that best fits their vision. With that said, please take note that rendering for the style chosen may vary slightly from the provided examples as we experiment and improve our art. Despite this, we still do our best to maintain the same quality of work!
EXPRESSIONS AND EYESHAPE
Each character is drawn in a way that embodies the feel of the references provided to the best of our abilities. Cute characters will often be drawn in a cute way while serious characters may have a more serious look. We enjoy reflecting the character's personality in the artwork by giving them distinct eye shapes and expressions.A few simple examples of the different looks a character might take on can be seen in the sketches to the left.
BODY TYPE
Characters may also be drawn in a way that better represents their age and physique. Young or cute characters may have features that leans more towards a chibi-like or youthful look while neutral and older characters might be drawn similarly to the default or mature sketches.If there is a specific feel that you would like for your character, telling us about them and their personality will help us illustrate the character in the way that best represents them.
DISCLAIMER: The below examples were quickly rigged to give viewers an idea of what each style could look like when in movement. Commissioned Vtuber models will be cut and rigged more intricately to facilitate more accurate/expressive movement.
Style 1
The "Anime Enthusiast" is the name of this style. Very anime, but apparently, has the flare of a webt00n comic (whatever that means)! This style captures a sweet balance between soft and sharp. Did we forget to mention it's also shiny? Oh yes, it looks very shiny~ Perfect for a large variety of character designs!
Style 2
This style is straight out of your shoujo dreams. The "Love Interest" is what we call this one. Now you can see yourself filtered through the lense of your secret admirer! This style is soft yet bright with a heart tingling scent! Let your model stand out with bold colors and curly, precise lines. The best choice to make your colorful character come to life!
Style 3
"Fuwa Time" is all about that squishy feeling you get when you look at an obnoxiously cute thing that you want to adore and simultaneously punch! Now would you look at that, is it really that easy to gain the adoration and aggression of your peers? With this style, you can bet your buttons that you'll get just that type of attention. You'll have people going "aww~!" and "AAAAAHHH!!!!"
Chibi
This style's called "Little Mayor," and that's TOTALLY not because it reminds us of Anim*l Xing. Here is a cheek pinchingly cute chibi that's just the perfect size! Not too small and not too large. Look at him, he has feet! And your chibi could have them too~
